Sometimes, businesses need a large number of workers to come in and help with a project. This may be a large conference, a telephone marketing campaign, or a large data-entry project. Hiring new employees for these projects just isn’t feasible since you won’t need them after the project is finished. In this case, you need to recruit some temporary employees.
If the project is going to last for several months or more, you may want to advertise it as you would any other position, but make certain you say it’s a short-term job offer. It’s usually a good idea to give them an estimate of how long you expect the project to take before you hire them. You can hire people short term as contract workers. Usually, you won’t pay them benefits, just a set salary. Once the project is completed, these temporary employees will go on their way.
Another option is to go through a recruitment service. These services can send you temporary workers for as long as you need them. This is often the better choice if you know the project is only going to last for a few days or if you need workers for only a weekend event.
