Group Train for Efficiency

Training is a vital part of any business, and there are several ways you can go about training your new employees. The method you use depends on several factors, including what type of business you run, the number of new employees you have, and the circumstances of hiring them.

If you’re a brand new business or are hiring a large number of employees at once (temporary employees for a large project, for example), it makes sense to do a large group training. This is especially true if all of the employees will be doing the same thing. While some employees may need special training, you can train everyone on common things like business policy, use of the business computer system, and other things. This is very efficient since all employees get trained at once.

If you are replacing one employee and the previous person in the position is leaving on good terms (retiring or moving to a new job), one of the best training methods is to have the exiting employee train his or her replacement. However, this involves hiring a new employee quickly, especially if the outgoing employee has giving only a two-week notice.
